National Crime Prevention Program Conducts Seminar

Phx, AZ of release ‑ A seminar for the nationally recognized Refuse To Be A Victim® crime prevention program will be conducted at 1200 pm, 9th, Jan 2010 @ First Christian Church. Refuse To Be A Victim® is from the National Rifle Association.

The Refuse To Be A Victim® three to four hour seminar promotes awareness and prevention of criminal confrontations. Seminar topics include home, automobile, phone, technology, travel and personal security. Seminar participants are presented with a variety of common‑sense crime prevention and personal safety strategies and devices they may integrate into their daily lives.

Refuse To Be A Victim® was developed in 1993 in response to requests from women nationwide for crime prevention seminars.  In 1997, the program became co‑ed. With hundreds of instructors nationwide, seminars have been presented in 50 states and the District of Columbia. Thousands of men and women have benefited from the program's life saving message.

The program has been endorsed by members of the law enforcement community nationwide, such as police officer and Refuse To Be A Victim® certified instructor Paris Washington of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania who said, "As citizens, we must be part of the solution, not part of the problem."

Patrick Harris, Executive Director of the Virginia Crime Prevention Association said, “Everyone should consider the possibility of — and be prepared to defend themselves — from a criminal attack. However, if they have not adopted the proven personal safety routines recommended by Refuse To Be A Victim®, then they may have surrendered their option of refusing to be a victim of crime.”

The seminar will be conducted at 1200 pm, 9th, Jan 2010, $40.00, @ First Christian Church.  Persons interested in attending should call 602 288 5324 or visit web site www.caases.org/refuse.html by deadline date Jan 4th 2010.

Donations are needed for scholarships we would like to give some scholarships to someone who does not have the money to attend a seminar like this.

A percentage of the money will be donated to the Streetlight program.
