Glendale, AZ ‑ A seminar for the nationally recognized Refuse To Be A Victim® crime prevention program will be conducted at Feb 27, 2010 University of Phoenix Stadium. Refuse To Be A Victim® is from the National Rifle Association.

The Refuse To Be A Victim® four hour seminar promotes awareness and prevention of criminal confrontations. Seminar topics include home, automobile, phone, technology, travel and personal security. Seminar participants are presented with a variety of common‑sense crime prevention and personal safety strategies and devices they may integrate into their daily lives.

Refuse To Be A Victim® was developed in 1993 in response to requests from women nationwide for crime prevention seminars. In 1997, the program became co‑ed. With hundreds of instructors nationwide, seminars have been presented in 50 states and the District of Columbia. Thousands of men and women have benefited from the program's life saving message.

The program has been endorsed by members of the law enforcement community nationwide, such as police officer and Refuse To Be A Victim® certified instructor Paris Washington of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania who said, "As citizens, we must be part of the solution, not part of the problem."

Patrick Harris, Executive Director of the Virginia Crime Prevention Association said, “Everyone should consider the possibility of — and be prepared to defend themselves — from a criminal attack. Refuse To Be A Victim.

Back in March of 2009 I went to the NRA Convention in Phx,AZ and sat in on a Refuse To Be A Victim Seminar. The speaker/Insturctor was very good, if you ever have a chance to set in one of these seminars do so. This was one of the best spent 4 hours I have done in a long time. I was so wanting to know more to see how we could improve our safety and awareness classes. I sat in on the insturctor classes here I sat in this class for 8 more hours. I thought the 4 seminar was good the instructor class was even better.

This class is a must take in my book they had people come from all over the U.S. just for this seminar. We now have added a page to our web site www.caases.org/refuse.html you can see what this has to offer.

Here are some of the seminar topics:

1) The Psychology of Criminal Predators

2) Mental Preparedness

3) Home Security

4) Physical Security

5) Automobile Security

Bsafe Online Puts Parents in Control of Social Networks (it's about time someone did)

Bristol, TN July 1, 2008:  The best tool for protecting your family while surfing the Internet just got better!  Bsafe Online’s latest version gives parents more control over their children’s social networking sites.  Now instead of having to either completely block or allow sites like MySpace or Facebook, parents can selectively allow only approved pages within the site.

“How to manage these popular sites is one of our most frequently asked questions,” says Bsafe Online CEO Joe Gregory.  “Social networking sites can be a lot of fun for kids and very useful. But just like most technology, there can be some very dark, even criminal behavior taking place on these sites. I’m pleased we’ve come up with a solution.”

Bsafe Online’s Internet filter can be configured differently for each member of the family. The administrator can choose to block or allow websites in more than 30 categories. For a parent who wants to allow their child to have a social networking page, the parent would block the entire website domain for one of these portals (ie. www.myspace.com), but enable their children to view their page (ie. www.myspace.com/bobby) and any other page that is linked to it (ie. www.myspace.com/bobbyfriend).

When parents install Bsafe Online, they will have control over which pages are accessed and which “friends” are allowed.

As always, Bsafe Online’s other capabilities including Instant Message monitoring, tamper-proof reporting, time-of-day settings and the ability to block the transmission of personal information, means your family will be protected from not only pornography, but predators and cyber-bullies as well.

For more information about Bsafe Online Inc., please visit www.caases.org/fsi.html

Learn How to Reduce Your Junk Mail - For Your Businesses

Junk mail is a waste, and it costs businesses real money. There are simple things you can do to substantially cut back the amount of junk mail you get in your office and save money.

The suggestions below will help you reduce the mail received for staff members that are long gone, multiple mailings for the same person (often with small inconsistencies such as misspellings and abbreviations, that make them seem like unique records), and poorly targeted mailings (such as office supply catalogs for the CEO or E-commerce seminars for your building maintenance staff).

That adds up to over 100 million trees annually. In addition, Americans collectively pay $370,000,000 a year to dispose the junk mail that doesn't get recycled.

But there is good news! You can get rid of 90 percent of that junk mail much easier than you might think.

In order to substantially reduce your junk mail, you need to reduce access to your name and address so that it won't be traded, rented, or sold to companies who send you unwanted mail.

Steps to follow in order to reduce the amount of Junk Mail you receive.

The following activities often lead to increases in your junk mail load.

A group of rapists and date rapists in prison were interviewed

A group of rapists and date rapists in prison were interviewed on what they look for in a potential victim and here are some interesting facts:

1) The first thing men look for in a potential victim is hairstyle. They are most likely to go after a woman with a ponytail, bun, braid or other hairstyle that can easily be grabbed . They are also likely to go after a woman with long hair. Women with short hair are not common targets.

2) The second thing men look for is clothing. They will look for women who's clothing is easy to remove quickly. Many of them carry scissors around specifically to cut clothing.

3) They also look for women on their cell phone , searching through their purse, or doing other activities while walking because they are off-guard and can be easily overpowered.

4) Men are most likely to attack &rape in the early morning, between 5: 00a.m. and 8:30a.m.

5) The number one place women are abducted from/attacked is grocery store parking lots .
Number two: is office parking lots/garages.
Number three: is public restrooms.

6) The thing about these men is that they are looking to grab a woman and quickly move her to another location where they don't have to worry about getting caught.

7) Only 2% said they carried weapons because rape carries a 3-5 year sentence but rape with a weapon is 15-20 years.

If you put up any kind of a fight at all, they get discouraged because it only takes a minute or two for them to realize that going after you isn't worth it because it will be time-consuming.

9) These men said they would not pick on women who have umbrellas, or other similar objects that can be used from a distance, in their hands.
Keys are not a great deterrent "but can work" because you have to get really close to the attacker to use them as a weapon. So, the idea is to convince these guys you're not worth it.

10) Several defense mechanisms you can us are:

If someone is following behind you
on a street or in a garage or with you in an elevator or stairwell, look them in the face and ask them a question, like what time is it, or make general small talk:
"I can't believe it is so cold out here," "we're in for a bad winter."

Now you've seen their face and could identify them in a line-up; you lose appeal as a target.

11) If someone is coming toward you, hold out your hands in front of you and yell STOP or STAY BACK !
Most of the rapists this man talked to said they'd leave a woman alone if she yelled or showed that she would not be afraid to fight back. Again, they are looking for an EASY target.

12) If you carry pepper spray (this instructor was a huge advocate of it and carries it with him wherever he goes), yelling "I HAVE PEPPER SPRAY" and holding it out will be a deterrent.

13) If someone grabs you, you can't beat them with strength but you can by outsmarting them. If you are grabbed around the waist from behind, pinch the attacker either  under the Arm (between the elbow and armpit) OR in the upperinner thigh VERY VERY HARD. One woman in a class this guy taught told him she used the underarm pinch on a guy who was trying to date rape her and was so upset she broke through the skin and tore out muscle strands - the guy needed stitches. Try pinching yourself in those places as hard as you can stand it - it hurts.

14) After the initial hit, always GO for the GROIN. I know from a particularly unfortunate experience that if you slap a guy's parts it is extremely painful. You might think that you'll anger the guy and make him want to hurt you more, but the thing these rapists told our instructor is that they want a woman who will not cause a lot of trouble. Start causing trouble, and he's out of there.

15) When the guy puts his hands up to you, grab his first two fingers and bend them back as far as possible with as much pressure pushing down on them as possible. The instructor did it to me without using much pressure, and I ended up on my knees and both knuckles cracked audibly.

16) Of course the things we always hear still apply. Always be aware of your surroundings, take someone with you if you can and if you see any odd behavior, don't dismiss it, go with your instincts!!!

You may feel a little silly at the time, but you'd feel much worse if the guy really was trouble. One of the best things to do is also have at least 2 self defence DVDs to study from an go over at lest once every month.

The side of the NRA that most people have KNOW IDEA about.

What is the NRA really all about?

Most people only know about NRA’s stand on the Second Amendment Right. Did know NRA does more than just help defend your Second Amendment Right (which only started in 1934). What’s most important to remember is that the NRA was founded in 1871 as a marksmanship organization and still is today (http://www.nrahq.org/history.asp), and continues to be one of America’s premier firearms training groups. The NRA Training Department has over 51,000 Instructors who work to train safe, ethical and responsible shooters of all ages and backgrounds in multiple disciplines.

With more than 400 training classes offered per month and over 1100 training courses around the world, the NRA is reaching more people than ever! We’ll like to remind if you are a potential member or already a member (www.caases.org/nra.html to join or renew) of the NRA that your membership will not just only go to help defend your rights, but it will also help support create responsible and safe shooters now and in the future to come. We can say in the future to come because we at CAASES are a Non profit Organization/Group that helps teach Gun/Firearms Safety. If anyone joins or renews their NRA Membership here thru our link NRA will donate a % back to our Non Profit so we also can do future Gun/Firearms Safety classes.

We Need Help With This Human Trafficking Issue

We Need Help With This Human Trafficking Issue

Human trafficking is a form of modern-day slavery. Victims of human trafficking are young children, teenagers, men and women. Approximately 600,000 to 800,000 victims annually are trafficked across international borders world wide, and between 14,500 and 17,500 of those victims are trafficked into the U.S., according to the U.S. Department of State. Victims of human trafficking are subjected to force, fraud, or coercion, for the purpose of sexual exploitation or forced labor.

After drug dealing, trafficking of humans is tied with arms dealing as the second largest criminal industry in the world, and is the fastest growing.

Many victims of human trafficking are forced to work in prostitution or the sex entertainment industry. But trafficking also occurs in forms of labor exploitation, such as domestic servitude, restaurant work, janitorial work, sweatshop factory work and migrant agricultural work.
